How bARTer Works
Event Date: Foreseeable Future
Part party, part art exchange, part game, bARTer is an opportunity for you to share your art, be creative, and walk home with something new and wonderful in your pocket (or knapsack.) It is fun and awesome, just like you.
HOW IT WORKS
To attend bARTer, you must be invited.
When you come, you must bring a piece of art (painting, print, sweater you knit, video, sculpture, anything)
When you arrive, you’ll get points depending on the art you bring. (Bring something good!)
Later in the evening, we’ll auction off all the art that was contributed. You’ll use your points to bid.
Everyone walks home with a new piece of art.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!
Throughout the evening, you’ll have opportunity to earn more points. Here’s how:
Bring some food and sell it to others for points!
Start or play a game! Before the auction begins, create and run freeform games/challenges/talent contests/feats of strength/etc. Gamemasters and winners are both awarded points.
bARTer with others. Points are transferrable.
INVITE UP TO TWO FRIENDS
Yes, just two. This is an experiment and we want to keep bARTer manageable. You will get bonus points for inviting friends.
Remember, you friends must bring art, too.
